Standard Detached Garage Projects
Basic detached garage for laned homes, or homes with side yard driveway access to the back.
Standard detached garages are the most common type of garage. They are separate from the home, and most often accessed from a back lane. Standard garages are typically used for storing vehicles, sporting good, and/or yard equipment, but the options are near limitless! We can build a basic detached garage to any custom size to fit your lot or requirements. The size of the garage will depend on the number of vehicles that require parking and any other equipment you plan to store inside.
Standard detached garages typically have 1 double overhead door (for 2 car garages) and 1 man door. They may also have windows; we commonly use 4 ft x 3ft picture or slider windows. Most of our standard detached garages are finished to ‘lock up’; meaning there is no interior finishing, just open framing and the required electrical outlets and lights. However, if you’d like to insulate, board, finish the interior (like your home) and heat the garage, we can get this done for you as well.
Standard garages are a good option for people who need a basic place to store their car or other vehicles, or a covered work space. They are relatively affordable and easy to maintain.
Here are some of the benefits of standard garages:
- Affordability: Standard garages are typically more affordable than other types of garages.
- Ease of maintenance: Standard garages are relatively easy to maintain. We pride ourselves on maintaining maintenance free exteriors.
- Versatility: Standard garages can be used for a variety of purposes, such as storing cars, boats, motorcycles, or other vehicles. They can also be used for hobbies, such as woodworking or car repair.
